This simple and flavorful broiled lingcod is made with fresh whitefish, lemon slices, salt, pepper, and other simple seasonings for the perfect piece of fish!

Ingredients
3 pounds lingcod filets (or another flaky whitefish)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3 teaspoons salted butter, cut into thin pats

Instructions
Preheat the oven. Slice your lemon. Make sure you have the middle rack in place in the oven.
Season the fish on both sides with all of the seasonings. Spray a broiler pan well with cooking spray to prevent sticking or line with non-stick foil.
Place the fish on the tray, top with a pat of butter and then put the lemons on top.
Broil for 5-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature is at least 145°.
Remove, sprinkle with a little flaked salt (if desired) and serve hot!
