This easy Biscuits and Gravy Casserole is put together in no time and is cooked on the pellet grill! If you don't have a pellet grill, you can also cook this in the oven.
Grease a grill-safe 10x13 casserole dish with butter or cooking spray.
Cut each biscuit into four pieces. Place each piece into the casserole dish.
Brown the sausage and break it up as it cooks in a skillet over medium-high heat. After it is browned, turn the heat down to medium-low, season with the pepper, and add the butter to the skillet.
Let the butter melt. Once it is melted, add the flour to the sausage and butter mixture. Stir until it is combined, and let cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the milk and stir frequently. Allow to come up to a low simmer, and let simmer while stirring until the mixture is thickened. If it is thicker than you'd like, you can add 1/2 cup additional milk.
Pour the sausage gravy over the top of the biscuits.
Place the casserole dish into the oven and let cook for approximately 30-45 minutes. You want the tops of the biscuits to be golden brown.
Remove from the grill and serve hot with poached eggs for bonus points.
Notes
Add in a half teaspoon of red pepper flakes for an extra kick of spice!Sometimes, I'll add a teaspoon of my favorite BBQ rub. Our Smoky SPG is particularly good in this recipe!
