I just might have exactly what you need to make for dinner tonight. My Traeger Chile Lime Chicken is as easy as dinner ever gets.
Traeger Chile Lime Chicken
This grilled chicken breast is so flavorful and juicy, you aren’t going to think about grilled chicken breast the same way ever again. Chicken breast seasoned so well, your family will ask for this one over and over. Or better yet, save yourself some time at lunch the next day by making enough for leftovers!
I love making this kind of chicken because it is one of those meals that can go with just about anything. One of my favorite ways to use this chicken breast is to take this and shred or chop it on top of a salad.
Adding this to a baked potato and have a stuffed baked potato night. It is so easy and everyone loves that they get to decide what tastes best.

Should I use fresh or frozen chicken breasts?
Personally, I prefer to use fresh meat whenever possible because I think it tastes better. However, I do understand that sometimes you just can’t pass up those unbelievable deals in the grocery store.
Tips for Freezing Meat
When feeding my family, sometimes saving a lot of money is a good thing. When I buy a lot of meat in bulk and the need to freeze is there, I do the following:
- Trim all the meat, removing any fat or grizzle
- Vacuum seal the meat for the best results.
- For short-term freezing, I put it in freezer bags and make sure to remove as much air as possible.
- Freeze in portion sizes that match your family size. You want single-use portions so you aren’t thawing too much.

Following these tips will help to eliminate weird freezer flavors and of course, the dreaded freezer burn.
Not to worry, fresh or frozen, you will love this chicken. 🙂
What should I make with this Traeger Chile Lime Chicken?
This particular chicken goes really well with my Pressure Cooker Mexican Rice. If you like easy, this is something you should try. I love to bust out my Instant Pot when I know I have a hectic night ahead of me.
Another great recipe idea is my Spicy One Pot Mexican Rice. This all in one pot meal is easy and this Traeger Chile Lime Chicken will be perfect in it. And who doesn’t love a one-pot meal? SO easy.
I also love to make my Griddle Corn Cakes With Honey Butter. I love a little sweet and savory at my dinners. Those also go well with my very easy Chicken Taco Soup, or my extra fast (and always a hit) 20 Minute Taco Soup.
When it comes to fast dinners without compromising taste and quality, I’ve got you covered.

How do I make this Traeger Chile Lime Chicken?
This one has very simple instructions.
Take your chicken and brush with oil, salt and coat with Chile Lime Blend by Spicelogy. Place on your grill and cook for about 10- 12 minutes, flipping halfway through. Make sure the temperature reaches 165 degrees to make sure they are cooked through but don’t overcook!
Don’t worry if you haven’t taken the Traeger grill plunge yet, this recipe works great on a regular gas grill or charcoal grill as well.

What flavor pellets did you use.

I believe I used the regular Traeger blend here. Honestly - we interchange our pellets all the time and I really can't tell a difference on recipes like this. For items that are smoked low and slow for long periods of time, it can have a bigger impact, but for most things, it really doesn't matter what flavor of pellets you get.
