Ingredients

  • 12 Roma tomatoes
  • 2 medium onions
  • 6 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 1 lime
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Start your griddle and preheat it on medium high heat.
  • While your griddle is preheating, prepare your vegetables by removing any stems from your peppers and tomatoes and removing the skins from the onions and garlic cloves.
  • Pour your oil onto the center of the griddle and place all the vegetables on the griddle in the oil.
  • Cut the lime in half and place the two halves flat onto the grill.
  • Let the vegetables cook for 2-3 minutes and then turn.
  • Turn every 2-3 minutes until all sides of the vegetables have blackened scorched marks on them.
  • Pull all the vegetables and the lime off the griddle.
  • Place the vegetables into a blender and pulse. Squeeze in the lime and add salt.
  • Chill and serve with chips.
